To ensure a diverse, engaging and collaborative environment, teams should:

• Complete an Ice Breaker: During the early hours of the hackathon, teams are asked to complete an ice breaker to build comfort with the rest of teammates and the tutor that will be overseeing them. This is essential to ensure good team dynamics.
• Formation: Teams should be formed by 3-4 students that have been placed into the same Track after completing their Technical Ability Questionnaire. If possible, try to group students from the host school and wider community together.
• Monitoring: Teams will be monitored by a tutor that will come around, check with the team, serve as a break and enforce the mandatory role rotation as per the Guidance for Tutors document
